Parallels is a Toronto synth pop band, whose atmospheric re-recording of Gowan’s “Moonlight Desires” is the featured single on their album X11. We were asked to design a cover and posters that evoke the single and the album’s overall feel. Our solution was to create a custom-type graphic die-cut for the album’s name that reveals a moody image of space superimposed on a photo of the lead singer. Gold ink was used to add some pop and complement the work’s spacey feel. The album was distributed to music labels and radio stations and was sold online and via iTunes.
